Terms of Service

1. Agreement

By creating a PFM account or using the PFM app or website (the “Service”), you agree to these Terms and to the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. The Service is operated by NEFSOF.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old, or the minimum age of digital consent in your country, and able to form a binding contract. If you use PFM for a household, team or business, you confirm you are authorised to do so.

3. Your account

• • Give accurate registration details and keep your email address current — we use it for verification, password resets and deletion requests.
• • You are responsible for keeping your password and device secure, and for everything done through your account.
• • Tell us promptly at info@pfm.nefsof.com if you suspect unauthorised access. You can revoke active sessions from the app.

4. Shared finance accounts

A finance account can be shared with other people. Owners and admins can add or remove members, edit budgets and delete expense history, including entries you created. Everything recorded in a shared account is visible to its members. Only invite people you trust with that information; leave the account if you no longer want to share it.

Deleting a finance account you own deletes its data for every member. If you want to hand it over instead, transfer ownership before you leave or delete your PFM account.

5. Cost

PFM is provided free of charge. There is nothing to buy in the app, we do not ask for payment details, and we do not show ads. If that ever changes, we will tell you in the app or by email before it takes effect, and you will never be charged for something you did not agree to.

6. Acceptable use

Do not: break the law with the Service; upload malware or content you have no right to share; attempt to access other users’ data; probe, scrape, overload or reverse-engineer the Service; resell it; or use it to store data you are not permitted to hold. We may suspend or terminate accounts that do.

7. Your content

Your expenses, notes, attachments and other content remain yours. You grant us only the limited licence needed to host, process, back up and display that content so the Service works for you and the members of your shared accounts. You are responsible for having the right to upload what you upload.

8. AI insights are not advice

AI-generated insights, reports, budget projections and alerts are informational only, may be inaccurate, and are not financial, investment, tax or legal advice. Verify figures before making decisions and consult a qualified professional where it matters.

9. Availability and changes

We aim to keep the Service running, but it is provided without any uptime guarantee and may be interrupted for maintenance, upgrades or reasons beyond our control. We may add, change or remove features; where a change materially reduces what you paid for, we will notify you.

10. Termination

You may stop using PFM at any time and request deletion of your account on the Delete account & data page. We may suspend or terminate an account that breaches these Terms, or where required by law. Sections that by their nature survive termination (content licence limits, disclaimers, liability, governing law) continue to apply.

11. Disclaimers

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind to the extent permitted by law, including fitness for a particular purpose and uninterrupted or error-free operation. You are responsible for keeping your own records of anything you must retain for tax or legal reasons.

12. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for lost profits, lost data or financial decisions made using the Service. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us for the Service in the 12 months before the claim arose. Nothing here excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law.

13. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. The “last updated” date shows the current version, and we will give notice in the app or by email before a material change takes effect. Continuing to use the Service after that means you accept the updated Terms.

14. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Nepal, and the courts of Kathmandu, Nepal have exclusive jurisdiction, except where mandatory consumer-protection law in your country of residence gives you the right to bring a claim locally.
